I absolutely loved my stay at Hinodeya Ryokan!! The futon was comfortable as long as you’re a back sleeper like me. The hosts would also bring hot water to your room which was stocked with green tea. I throughly enjoyed the bath and it was easy to reserve online. The facilities were very clean and I noticed that the trashes were taken out daily. The breakfast was filling and unique! I chose the Japanese style breakfast and enjoyed the fish and cooking my own egg. The host also gave me a complimentary ride to the train station when it was time to leave. I would definitely stay here again!

Hinodeya is a short walk from the train station and the staff offer to pick you up and drop you off. If you walk, they provide a detailed YouTube video and there are street signs along the way. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bedding is fresh and comfortable. Great heating and a little tv too. Plenty of western toilets available at Hinodeya and there are two bathrooms (with shower and bath). One bathroom is for 3-4 people while the other is 1-2. They have a reservation system for the bathrooms and it is very easy to book. I would recommend setting yourself an alarm when using the bath though. They also provide all amenities and they are good quality. My favourite thing about my stay were the complimentary shuttles to different places we wanted to visit - Jogasaki and Mt Omuro.

Our room was very large and clean (including cleaning during the day while we were out). The baths are easy to book online and the other amenities such as a massage chair, board games and free coffee / tea during the day were great. We ate breakfast one morning at the stay, which was beautifully presented and affordable in price. As English speakers with limited vocabulary in Japanese, the staff was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

I had such a lovely stay! Some of the staff were Taiwanese so communication was no problem in English and Chinese. Very friendly! Also the owner (I think) was accommodating and let me use the Onsen outside of the reservation times because there were not many guests at the time. The onsen was very relaxing and the online booking system for it was easy and convenient. My tatami room was very cute and cozy and they made my stay very comfortable with providing hot water thermal pot refills and answering any questions I had. The breakfast was delicious and held in the dining hall with other guests at 8am. The owner was kind enough to even play a projection video in English when I arrived to eat since he knew I was an English speaker. I felt very included! Everything was clean and tidy. Well kept and organized. They have a great system going here. The cherry on top was they had a PS5 which I enjoyed playing!! There’s some restaurants down the road and a super market too so very convenient. A close walk to the coastline where you can go hiking with a gorgeous view! At my checkout, the owner so kindly offered to drop me off at the station too. Very kind! I had a wonderful stay!

The room was very big with a little balcony. We had a wonderful tatami mat room with futon beds. It felt so traditional and comfortable. A dream come true. We looooved the onsen. We booked it daily to use it on our own for half an hour or an hour. Everthing was clean, nicely furnitured. The room where everyone got together has a gaming console, games, massage chair, flyer for things to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved it here. We will surely come again! :)

Gigantic room which could comfortably have fit about 8 people. Staff were very accommodating, and were kind enough to give us a lift to the Jogasaki coast on our departure. Quality of the meals was excellent, and proportions were extremely generous. We thought the online system for booking out time in the baths was efficient and easy to use, and certainly better than the first-come first-served system that seems to dominate elsewhere.

The room was so big for the price my two friends and I paid and the facilities were great. We could reserve a specific bath time and there’s a cozy lobby area. But above all, the owner was so kind. He recommended going to Mt. Omuro which we didn’t even know about and he offered to drive us there. When we were coming back down from the mountain that had an amazing view of fuji by the way, we realized we couldn’t make the bus we were planning on taking, so he also kindly picked us up and drove us back to the train station. This is the best hospitality I have ever received anywhere and I will definitely be coming back again!

During my recent stay at this ryokan, I was delighted by its convenient location, just a short walk from the Izu-Kogen train station. The owner's hospitality was exceptional; he kindly offered to pick us up and was even willing to drive us to various local attractions. This ryokan became our base for exploring Izu, using the nearby station to get to places like Shimoda, Atagawa, and Kawazu. The ryokan itself was impeccably clean, providing spacious and comfortable rooms that felt like a serene retreat. It was fun to pick out our own yukatas. One of the highlights was the online booking system for the onsens. This user-friendly feature allowed us to reserve up to an hour for each session, which was a perfect way to unwind after a chilly day spent exploring. The warm, soothing waters of the onsen were just what we needed to rejuvenate.

The unlimited supply of coffee, the cleanliness of the shared toilet and public bath. The free ride to the train station provided by the ryokan after our check-out.

This place is amazing, a must stay if you are staying in Ito area. We got twin room, so spacious and gorgeous tatami mats. You can request the owner to pick you up from the Izu Kogen Station on their website. A short walk and drive to the ryokan. They have Yukata available and 2 bath houses you can use. You can reserve you time slot for private bath use using the QR code they give you when you stay. The environment was very homey and relaxing. The staff there are very helpful and will assist with anything you need. Best to use Google translate for communication, but ehy do understand some English. The owner will take you to any attractions nearby, he drove to Izu-Shaboten zoo, next to it was also the lift to take you up the green mountain. We spent 3 hours at zoo and lift experience takes an hour. The best Japanese breakfast they served us each morning. Fresh ingredients from nearby areas. I will stay here again given the chance. Suspension bridge 15 min walk, buddhist temple to min walk, train station 10 min walk away. Best ryokan experience even if your japanese is not good.
